Dr. Andrew Chou – B.Sc., M.D., CCFP
Dr. Chou grew up in Vancouver and Ottawa where he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa’s Biomedical Science program. He went on to study medicine at the University of Toronto, where he graduated with Honours, before completing his residency in family medicine at the Toronto Western Hospital. Prior to joining MDDirect, Dr. Chou ran a practice for over seven years at a pioneering Toronto clinic, leveraging advances in communications technology to connect directly with patients while minimizing wait times. He also provided care and support to students and staff at one of Canada’s most diverse universities. Dr. Chou believes strongly in a compassionate, accessible, and patient-centred approach to healthcare. He believes that effective medicine means not only skill, knowledge and communication, but also taking the time to build a relationship of trust with each and every patient.
